About Brent Rush

Family: Brent and Rhonda have lived in Northwest Arkansas for over 20 years and call Siloam Springs their home. They have three wonderful children Ethan, Megan, and Jordan. They all maintain an active lifestyle and enjoy hiking in the woods, riding bikes, climbing and stand-up paddle boards. They enjoy being active in their church and community too. They believe that a healthy lifestyle includes good physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health.​

 

Education: Brent received his bachelor’s degree in corporate and community wellness management at John Brown University. While attending John Brown University he was a member of the swimming and diving team where he became an NAIA All-American in 1 m and 3 m springboard diving. He went on to pursue a Master of Education in exercise physiology at Wichita State University. He became an instructor of health science at John Brown University where he was also the head swimming and diving coach. During his coaching career he became the NAIA diving coach of the year and had multiple swimmers who achieved NAIA All-American status and to divers who became NAIA national champions.​

 

Brent never lost his passion for learning and earned a master’s in nursing as a family nurse practitioner at Graceland University. He began work in emergency medicine since he had a background in emergency medicine working as a paramedic firefighter for the Rogers fire department. He is a certified emergency nurse and worked several years in the emergency department and as a flight nurse. Due to his background in exercise physiology, he found a passion for functional medicine. His goal is to empower his patients with knowledge so they can better take care of themselves to promote healthy living, prevent disease, help them achieve their healthcare goals, and improve vitality and longevity.
